Lampung, 19 August 2009: Starting with Habitat for Humanity Indonesia’s objective in expanding the program to South Sumatera area, especially in Lampung, the program called “Wisma Mitra Sejahtera” is developed, a collaboration program between Habitat for Humanity Indonesia and Lembaga Pengembangan Masyarakat (L–PAMAS,NGOs focusing on community and child prosperity) and Koperasi Sumarta.

Wisma Mitra Sejahtera program is one of HFH Indonesia’s a regular program aims to build housing for low income families in Pringsewu regency. Lampung has a high potential of housing needs, especially for non–bankable families. HFH Indonesia will give a technical support in supervising the house building at Pringsewu area, whereas Sumarta cooperative society members to take part of Wisma Mitra Sejahtera program. L – PAMAS itself will socialize this program to the community and take responsible for the repayment process.

The groundbreaking event was held on Wednesday, 19 August, start at 09.30 am until 12.00 pm at Kampung Waluyo Jati, Pringsewu subdistrict, Pringsewu regency. Attended by Chairman of Pringsewu Regency, Ir. H. Masulhaq. Marking the event, epigraph signing was done by HFH Indonesia National Director Tri Budiardjo and Chairman of Pringsewu Regency Ir. H. Masulhaq. HFH Indonesia aims to reach of 759 home families at the Pringsewu area, South Lampung and the whole Lampung.
