Wrangler Indonesia created a smile campaign through “Wrangler Smile Party” music event at the Rolling Stone Live Venue, last Thursday, 30 July 2009. This event was part of  Wrangler’s Smile Campaign Program and Charity first step in Indonesia.

In early 2009, the program is started by launching of the Wrangler Jeans Indonesia facebook. Wrangler Smile T – Shirt design competition was held on the launching. It gained ninety six designs during one-and-a-half months, starting 1 February to 21 March. Three designs from three winners of the competition were produced and sold on Wrangler counters.

Wrangler Smile Party is a social responsibility form of Wrangler Jeans Indonesia, cooperate with Habitat for Humanity Indonesia, to help people in need having a decent place to live. “We only have a simple goal, to make the community smile in this hard situation. That’s why we cooperate with Habitat for Humanity Indonesia to help our brother and sister have a decent place to stay,” says Boysanto Pasaribu, Sales and Marketing Director of PT. Delami Garment Industries, producer of Wrangler in Indonesia.

30 Million Rupiah of the Smile T – Shirt sales was donated to Habitat for Humanity Indonesia, which is a kick off program from Wrangler Indonesia. Boysanto Pasaribu, as Wrangler Indonesia representative, symbolically handed the donation to HFH Indonesia, represented by Tri Budiardjo, the National Director.

The greatest thing about from Wrangler Smile Party is part of the ticket price is also donated to HFH Indonesia’s  program.

Wrangler’s donation is very useful for HFH Indonesia, and as one of Habitat’s partners, Wrangler has participated in contributing people-in-need dreams come true. HFH Indonesia National Director, Tri Budiardjo says, “This is an indication that fashion, lifestyle, and young generation can be bound with social activities.” Hope Wrangler’s positive orientation will be the example to other apparel products.

Wrangler Smile Campaign is a program from Wrangler Indonesia to create a world, especially Indonesia, a better place with a smile. This program take the basic concept of life, which is smile.
