Formula BMW Asia support Habitat for Humanity Indonesia

For the first time, Formula BMW Asia was held in Sentul International Circuit, Indonesia from 21-23 July 2006 where more than 10 racing drivers from different countries participated. The event is a part of Asian Festival of Speed Indonesia (AFOS) where Porsche Carrera Cup, BMW Asia Series, Formula V6 Asia by Renault is joined. 

On Sunday 23 July 2006, the winners of Formula BMW Asia – 1^st winner: Earl Bambers/NZL Team Meritus & others winners together with BMW Indonesia donated amount USD 5,000 to Habitat for Humanity Indonesia. The funds will be allocated for earthquake and tsunami victims in Indonesia by providing initial permanent housing. Habitat for Humanity Indonesia & BMW Indonesia have started their partnership since 2004 by supporting more than 6 families in Sukakarya Village, Bekasi, and Jakarta and participated in the BOSS (Building on Saturday & Sunday) Voluntary Programs by sending BMW employees to help the community in building their houses.
